Cache County Corporation in Logan, Utah is looking for a Staff Engineer to join our Public Works team!
This position will assist in reviewing development proposals, provide project oversight of contracts and construction, provide construction review and field assessments for construction crews, and manage County rights-of-way. This Staff Engineer will be working under the general supervision of the County Engineer. The Staff Engineer will perform general construction reviews and inspections for utilities/roadway/drainage improvements, including reading/reviewing construction documents such as design drawings and specifications for subdivisions, road and infrastructure projects, and other development activities for COG projects and development review. The Staff Engineer will provide plan set reviews, budget and expense verification, and project conformance with applicable codes and policies; complete right-of-way work: Review permits, conduct violation enforcement, coordinates and acquires land as needed for County construction projects; and handle public interactions including phone calls, onsite discussions, written, and at the front counter.
Minimum Qualifications
Staff Engineer I: ($29.14-$33.22)Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing) in Civil Engineering, or related engineering field.
Staff Engineer II: ($31.28-$35.69) Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field and 2 years of related experience. Requires a Fundamentals of Engineering Certificate.
Staff Engineer III: ($34.89-$39.76) Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field and 3 years of related experience. Requires State Professional Engineer license. All certifications must be with the State of Utah within one year of the date of hire.
Licenses/Certificates: Registered Storm Water Inspector (RSI) or able to obtain within 6 months of hire; EIT Certification; and Possession of a valid Utah driver's license and meet eligibility requirements to drive.
The first review date for this position will be 6/7/2023.
