Cache County is looking for a Regional Trail Coordinator to join their Development Services team!

The Regional Trail Coordinator will perform a variety of professional and technical duties related to coordinating and guiding regional trail and active transportation facility funding, planning, development, and construction throughout Cache County and under the direction of the Cache County Development Services Department, with guidance from the Cache Metropolitan Planning Organization (CMPO) and the Executive Oversight Committee.

The ideal candidate will facilitate and build consensus between different communities diverse interest, and gather public input through public outreach and stakeholder involvement activities; assist local jurisdictions withe the development of local trail/bicycle and pedestrian community plans; Pursue and obtain project funding and provide assistance with regional trail grant writing and management. The candidate will also have knowledge of rights-of-way, easements, and other access issues, procedures affecting planning/zoning/subdivisions, trails, and multi-modal transportation systems, and related operations of the County; Knowledge of current requirements related to the design of active transportation facilities including AASHTO, NACTO, and MUTCD standards.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in urban/rural planning, landscape architecture, recreation or natural resources, or a closely related field and a minimum of six (6) months of directly applicable experience; Current AICP certification or the ability to obtain certification within 1 year of employment is preferred. Candidates must have a valid Driver's License and must not have any DUI/ARR within the past 5 years and less than 2 moving violations within the past 24 months.

This is a full time benefited position generally working Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
